
Field Service Engineer – Apprentice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Supporting senior technicians and Field Service Engineers (FSEs) with both basic and complex repairs and resolutions.
• Collaborating as part of a local team to ensure efficient service delivery to all accounts within the designated area.
• Recording all activities and submitting reports/summaries in accordance with the established schedule.
• Ensuring the proper maintenance of spare parts, tools, and testing equipment while confirming their calibration.
• Keeping the approved parts inventory up to date.
• Overseeing vendor service delivery processes in alignment with GE HealthCare policies, as directed.
• Advancing and maintaining technical expertise in current standards, codes, and procedures regarding the safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal training.
• Complying with Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety requirements, and all other relevant regulatory standards.
• Undertaking additional related duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a university education, with a diploma in Medical Devices, Technologies, Medical Physics, Electronics, or Engineering.
• An enthusiasm for the healthcare technology and industry.
• A strong desire to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Proficiency in English (both oral and written) and Romanian.
• A team-oriented individual.
• Excellent analytical and manual skills.
• A solid understanding of electronics and IT.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the country during the Apprentice Program.
• Capability to exercise independent judgment in line with departmental guidelines.
• Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• A self-starter who is proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill in quickly identifying and prioritizing issues, devising solutions, and meeting deadlines.
• A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across various time zones.
