This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repairs on customer equipment.
• Carry out installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Guide, instruct, and support less experienced Field Engineers while providing coaching and feedback to team members.
• Serve as the technical authority for escalations and Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) for one or more modalities.
• Manage communications with customers and act as the escalation contact for customer-related issues, including installations.
• Take ownership of customer issues from the point of dispatch or issue identification through to resolution.
• Actively collaborate with other team members to ensure suitable solutions for customers.
• Co-facilitate regular team or modality meetings as necessary.
• Support the Area Service Leader in developing growth and/or deployment strategies.
• Foster relationships with customers, ensuring timely communication, resolution, and proper follow-up to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements; ensure daily documentation of all work performed, including debriefings, metrics, and parts ordering.
• Collaborate with customers and/or the sales team to suggest value-added services that enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process when needed and work closely with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to address customer issues.
• May involve providing application training to clinical or scientific staff on designated equipment.
• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military training with 6 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED combined with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced technical skills in imaging modalities, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency with web applications and the Microsoft suite of products.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.
• Availability after hours and/or willingness to work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
