This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Deliver fuel cell service during field visit assignments.
• Safely operate a service vehicle.
• Develop daily workflows based on scheduled tasks and work independently.
• Oversee on-site preventive maintenance, repairs, testing, and diagnostic tasks.
• Travel both domestically and internationally as required, including the commissioning of new installations.
• Adhere to company procedures and protocols.
• Identify errors or technical issues and devise and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and disseminate information throughout the organization.
• Understand and comply with customer access requirements.
• Maintain the service vehicle and manage spare parts inventory.
• Foster and sustain positive customer relationships.
• Generate timely and detailed service reports.
• Carry out other assigned duties.
• Must reside within the Service District.
• High school diploma with 6 years of experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields; or a technical diploma, Journeyman Certification, or Electrician Certification in a technical field with 4 years of relevant industry experience; or over 5 years of relevant commercial electrical experience combined with electrical-related military experience.
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, particularly OSHA and NFPA 70E.
• Previous experience as an electrician or electrical technician with three-phase systems, UPS, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, automatic transfer switches, or microprocessor-based control platforms.
• Proficient in using electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Capable of reading and interpreting electrical single-line diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience in maintaining equipment in accordance with ANSI/NETA standards.
• Mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and tackle complex problems with sound judgment.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
• Capable of executing written and verbal procedures as well as sequenced work instructions.
• Able to regularly handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to reach, squat, bend, and twist; frequently use a ladder or step stool; and work at heights.
• Availability for 24x7 on-call duty, shift work, alternative schedules, overtime, and routine travel.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations.
• Maintains a good standing driving record.
• Demonstrates high integrity, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Two initial training sessions lasting up to four weeks each in San Jose, CA.
