This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver effective FMC product recommendations to customers and other business stakeholders while successfully expanding FMC’s presence in the Southeast/Central Texas region.
• Ensure all activities with distributor and retail accounts are in line with the territory and overall regional strategies.
• Report to and collaborate with the Regional Business Manager to achieve regional and expense goals.
• Manage customer accounts, identifying and nurturing new prospects to promote FMC products.
• Concentrate on sales objectives, business growth, fostering customer relationships, and addressing customer concerns.
• Create and implement an account strategy, negotiating to meet sales targets while considering margins and revenue.
• Cultivate strong business relationships with customers.
• Prepare sales presentations, call plans, proposals, and reports for both internal and external communication.
• Gather and relay market insights related to sales volumes.
• Anticipate customer business plans and needs.
• Gather and share competitive practices and aid in assessing competitive data.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to boost sales with existing accounts or to acquire new ones.
• Coordinate interactions between customers and other company resources (technical, supply chain) to provide additional value to accounts.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow sales professionals and corporate commercial team members.
• Requires 50% travel to fulfill territory responsibilities.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agriculture or a related Life Science field with 5+ years of relevant sales experience, or a High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant sales experience.
• Certification as a Crop Advisor or an MBA is advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
• Proficient in making data-driven decisions utilizing CRM systems.
• Understanding of core principles in value selling and agronomics.
• Experience in facilitating and executing intricate projects.
• Strong financial and business insight.
• Proven track record of driving new and existing business opportunities with key accounts, including national accounts, within a sales territory.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions with minimal supervision; occasionally makes complex decisions within operational guidelines.
• Experience in leveraging critical accounts to support national accounts.
• Proven ability to negotiate with middle to senior management.
• Established success in making an immediate impact on sales within a designated territory.
