This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Organize, schedule, and perform onsite evaluations
• Prepare reports that assist clients in assessing risk
• Recognize business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety protocols
• Formulate recommendations concerning safety and loss prevention
• Professionally represent Verisk and its clients via phone, in-person meetings, and written communication
• Generate precise, customer-focused reports that adhere to data quality standards
• Assess commercial properties and review business operations and site conditions across various insurance coverage lines
• Collect onsite observations and convert them into risk insights that support underwriting, pricing, loss prevention, and safety practices
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; preferred fields include Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, and Safety
• Preferred experience may encompass insurance loss control, underwriting or claims, commercial building construction, compliance or property inspections, fire safety, and industrial safety roles
• Exceptional customer service along with strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Capacity to produce concise and informative reports that meet quality standards
• Strong proficiency with laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite, and mobile applications
• Working knowledge of functional math involving square footage, perimeter, and percentages
• Self-driven with effective planning and goal-setting capabilities
• Ability to route, schedule, document, and perform site visits efficiently with minimal direct supervision
• Capability to record and observe details and measurements, gather data, map, and travel between sites
• Willingness to work in diverse environments and weather conditions; able to walk, stand, climb stairs, drive for extended periods, and occasionally use ladders
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in compliance with company policies
• Willingness to undertake overnight travel both in and out of state based on business requirements
• Ability to assimilate, learn, and implement training material through virtual or in-person classroom instruction, recorded media, and on-the-job field mentoring

• Professional certifications such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, and/or CPCU are advantageous
