This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Serves as an in-office resource available to respond to HCP inquiries regarding patient access.
• Directly visits HCP offices within a designated geography to provide answers about patient access and reimbursement related to the AbbVie Neuroscience portfolio.
• Offers expertise on coverage and common challenges related to access and reimbursement for AbbVie Neuroscience products.
• Informs about the access and reimbursement support tools provided by AbbVie.
• Guides HCPs on patient prescription statuses and program eligibility.
• Educates HCP offices on payer processes and procedures.
• Collaborates with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to keep HCPs updated on prescription statuses and program eligibility.
• Reports payer trends relevant to approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate providers within the territory.
• Stays informed about key managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Neuroscience, with a background in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
• Deep understanding of the technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment in specialty medicine.
• Proven knowledge of the rules, regulations, and risks associated with providing reimbursement support services.
• Strong ability to communicate technical aspects of coding and billing requirements at both National and Regional levels across all care settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• In-depth knowledge of drug acquisition and dispensing in the Neuroscience field (including Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, and white-bagging, etc.).
• Strong understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and effective compliant interactions.
• Excellent skills in territory and account management.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
