This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Educate healthcare providers and accounts regarding the treatment procedures for BOTOX Therapeutics, reimbursement mechanisms, payer policies, and tools for patient access.
• Identify and address barriers related to medical and pharmacy benefits, acquisition, prior authorization, billing, coding, claims, reconciliation, and denial/appeal processes.
• Deliver actionable insights and tailored solutions for issues pertaining to access and reimbursement.
• Stay updated and communicate regional and national changes in payer policies.
• Collaborate with Market Access, the Center of Excellence, Sales, Marketing, Training, Compliance, Trade, Specialty Pharmacy, and senior leadership teams.
• Gather customer feedback on approval criteria and obstacles to care.
• Inform accounts about HUB services, patient savings initiatives, payer coverage, and strategies for acquisition pull-through.
• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals, administrative personnel, business decision-makers, and C-suite executives.
• Lead without direct authority, influence various functions, facilitate consensus, and engage in critical discussions.
• Participate in Field Input Teams and suggest solutions to customer challenges.
• Organize, prioritize, follow up, anticipate potential issues, and ensure adherence to AbbVie and regulatory standards.
• Travel within the territory, attend training sessions, and participate in meetings; overnight travel may be necessary.
• 5–7 years of demonstrated success in a healthcare-related field.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Preferred experience in sales, district management, hospitals, managed markets, access and reimbursement, or medical practices.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles is advantageous.
• Experience with physician-administered injectables, CPT and/or J-code reimbursement, Specialty Pharmacy, Buy & Bill acquisition, benefit verifications, prior authorizations, claims assistance, appeals, payer policies, and HUB services.
• Extensive experience interacting with accounts at various levels.
• Experience with payer/insurance coverage including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information and processes in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Proficient in problem-solving, gaining access, resource management, achieving tangible results, overcoming challenges, collaboration, and navigating complexities.
• Traits such as empathy, critical thinking, curiosity, persistence, reliability, and resourcefulness are essential.
• Proven leadership history in the current role.
• Technological and analytical skills, including proficiency in Salesforce, virtual meeting platforms, Excel, and report analysis.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving criteria.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to cover the territory, attend training sessions, and participate in meetings.
