This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations at the residences of policyholders.
• Assess property damage, ascertain liability, evaluate losses, and negotiate equitable settlements.
• Utilize claims management software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to evaluate damage and create estimates in a paperless setting.
• Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents of theft, fraud, or arson to the relevant state and industry authorities.
• Execute responsibilities independently, with work directly influencing management decisions.
• Represent the company in a professional manner during public engagements.
• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other pertinent parties.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders for claims.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Advocate for safety and adhere to company safety and ergonomic standards.
• Travel away from home for CAT deployments, typically lasting 23 days.
• Commit to 1–3 CAT deployments annually.
• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Strong customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting.
• Relevant experience in construction or insurance is highly advantageous and preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with smartphones and mobile applications.
• Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
• Outgoing demeanor and comfort when engaging with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, and fraud investigators.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be bondable.
• Residency within the Greater Milwaukee area is required.
• Must be prepared and able to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times daily.
• Comfortable working in small, confined areas such as attics and crawlspaces.
• Must achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in English speaking, reading, writing, and data entry is required.
• Capable of performing actions such as bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sorting, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and seeing.
• Final candidates are subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
• Compliance with safety and ergonomic standards is essential.
