Field Nurse Case Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Serve as a nurse liaison to facilitate care and relay essential medical information among the Injured Worker, the Insured, and the Carrier.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Case Management (CM) plan.

• Accept referrals as designated by the Director of Case Management.

• Initiate contacts according to the CM plan and schedule the initial assessment.

• Confirm assignments with the referral source and clarify any special handling instructions.

• Develop professional relationships with clients, ensuring claimants are treated with respect and dignity.

• Maintain continuous communication with the Injured Worker, Insured, and Carrier.

• Document data and billing in CaseAnyplace, ensuring timely submission of monthly reports.

• Attend physician appointments to gather diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plans.

• Refer to a Vocational Counselor for job analyses when deemed appropriate and approved by the Carrier.

• Recommend IME physicians and coordinate attendance at IMEs.

• Assist the Carrier/Insured with Return-to-Work (RTW) planning.

• Provide relevant information to Defense Attorneys when applicable.

• Optimize accurate and appropriate billable hours to meet monthly targets.

• Ensure maintenance of licensure and certifications, completing all required annual training punctually.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse.

• Practice in a U.S. state or territory that permits independent assessments within the scope of practice.

• Completion of a nursing program and adherence to ongoing continuing education requirements.

• Preferred: One or more national certifications obtained within 4 years of hire (e.g., CCM, CRC, CLNC, CRRN).

• Preferred: Two years of full-time equivalent (FTE) experience in direct case management for injured workers or two years under supervision.
