Field Medical Science Liaison, Hepatology – North Central

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Implement the external engagement strategy in line with the therapeutic portfolio.

• Execute the external engagement plan that corresponds with therapy area strategies.

• Identify and engage with External Experts, professional groups, decision makers, and other key stakeholders.

• Compliantly respond to unsolicited information requests regarding GSK medicines and their indications.

• Distribute critical safety information to healthcare professionals.

• Engage in scientific discussions with healthcare professionals concerning the appropriate use of medicines.

• Present scientific data and pipeline information to formulary committees and healthcare professionals.

• Maintain a deep understanding of the evolving scientific and therapeutic landscape, as well as competitor medicines and vaccines.

• Participate in and contribute to regional account planning and training sessions.

• Attend national and regional scientific and medical conferences.

• Support clinical development initiatives, including GSK and Investigator-sponsored studies.

• Collaborate with R&D personnel to enhance site performance.

• Provide insights into GSK research interests and address inquiries regarding investigator-sponsored research.

• Engage in discussions and meetings with steering committee members, advisory board members, consultants, and clinical research investigators.

• Offer scientific training to GSK sales representatives.

• Educate healthcare professionals to represent GSK and assist with sponsored speaker training events.

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, market access, and other colleagues across the matrix on patient- and business-focused strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Pharm. D or Ph. D, DNP, or MD with a focus on medical or clinical disciplines.

• Minimum of two years of experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy related to human health.

• Practical experience applying pharmacology and pharmacotherapy knowledge in clinical settings.

• Must reside within the designated territory.

• Preferred residency or post-doctoral training in a clinical or pharmaceutical practice environment.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or as a medical liaison is preferred.

• Experience in a specific therapeutic area is advantageous.

• Previous clinical experience with direct or indirect decision-making authority in patient care is desirable.

• Above-average computer proficiency, including familiarity with relevant software applications.

• Qualified candidates may be considered for Senior MSL positions.
