Field Medical Director, Vascular Surgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the specialty match reviewer for Vascular cases

• Engage in discussions regarding determinations (peer-to-peer phone calls) with requesting physicians or ordering providers

• Offer clinical rationale for both standard and expedited appeals

• Employ medical and clinical review guidelines and parameters

• Support and provide resources to Initial Clinical Reviewers

• Ensure that all communications are documented in a timely and accurate manner

• Participate in ongoing training as part of the inter-rater reliability process

• May assist the Senior Medical Director with research activities or inquiries related to the Utilization Management process

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS - Required

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of Vascular Surgery - Preferred

• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or the required specialty - Required

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining medical licenses in the state of residence - Required

• Active Board Certification in Vascular Surgery or Board Certification in General Surgery with extensive experience in Vascular Surgery - Required

• Strong clinical, management, communication, and organizational skills - Required

• Energetic and inquisitive with a passion for quality and value in healthcare - Required

• Proficiency in computer skills - Required
