Field Medical Director, Radiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Physician match reviewer for Imaging cases.

• Engage in discussions regarding determinations through peer-to-peer phone calls with requesting physicians or ordering providers.

• Apply medical and clinical review guidelines and parameters to ensure consistency in the MD review process.

• Guarantee that all communications with medical office staff and/or MD providers are documented accurately and promptly.

• Support the Senior Medical Director with research activities or questions related to the Utilization Management process.

• Participate in ongoing training as part of the inter-rater reliability process.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS degree.

• At least five (5) years of experience in the practice of Medicine post-residency.

• Preferred active clinical practice within the last two years.

• Current, unrestricted clinical license in home state medicine or required specialty.

• Active Board Certification from an accredited organization.

• Strong skills in clinical practice, management, communication, and organization.

• Energetic and inquisitive, with a passion for delivering quality and value in healthcare.

• Proficient in computer applications.

• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program, including Medicare or Medicaid.

• No record of major disciplinary or legal actions by a state medical board.
