Field Medical Director – Breast and Gynecologic Cancers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver approved medical content regarding Pfizer medications and associated subjects.

• Identify and pursue medical engagement with key customer segments.

• Provide truthful, accurate, and scientifically substantiated information in response to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs).

• Lead advisory boards with oversight from management.

• Address relevant inbound inquiries from HCPs through an established triage process.

• Collaborate with colleagues in Global Medical Affairs.

• Develop expertise in research and therapeutic areas.

• Provide leadership for assets.

• Communicate reactively and proactively with local Patient Advocacy Groups.

• Participate in Medical and/or Therapeutic Area and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership within clinical and professional associations.

• Act as a mentor and partner in onboarding.

• Engage in special projects as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health science is mandatory.

• PharmD/PhD with over 5 years of relevant experience, MBA/MSc with more than 7 years of relevant experience, or BA/BSc with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

• Recognized subject matter expert in breast oncology or other solid tumors, including gynecologic oncology, acknowledged by both internal and external stakeholders.

• Capable of managing a substantial volume of projects developed in a remote setting.

• Exhibit a wide range of diverse leadership experiences and skills.

• Show exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Work effectively within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team.

• Successfully navigate and lead through changes in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Problem-solve and network across the enterprise as needed.

• Be a self-starter, take accountability, and demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results that have medical significance.

• Maintain self-awareness and consistently choose behaviors and responses that reflect performance and engagement.
