This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the complete planning and execution of regional field events, which include conferences, trade shows, regional roadshows, executive roundtables, and customer appreciation gatherings.
• Oversee event logistics, encompassing venue selection, vendor negotiations, budget management, staffing, shipping, AV/technology coordination, and on-site execution.
• Research and assess high-impact event and sponsorship opportunities that align with Vanta's ideal customer profile (ICP) and regional sales objectives.
• Create event themes, messaging, and programming that resonate with decision-makers in security, compliance, and IT.
• Act as the on-site event leader, ensuring impeccable execution and serving as the primary problem-solver.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and SDR leadership to synchronize field marketing efforts with pipeline objectives and account-based strategies.
• Organize pre-event outreach campaigns to boost registrations and meetings with target accounts.
• Guarantee smooth lead capture, routing, and follow-up processes for all events.
• Update sales teams on event attendees, key talking points, and follow-up priorities.
• Assist in post-event nurturing campaigns in partnership with Demand Generation.
• Manage the sourcing, inventory, and distribution of promotional items, branded materials, and executive gifts for events and ABM initiatives.
• Ensure Vanta's booth presence and brand experience stand out at every activation.
• Coordinate shipping logistics for materials destined for events, vendors, and prospects.
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships for promotional items, printing, and event production.
• Monitor and report on event KPIs, including attendance, generated pipeline, conversion rates, and ROI.
• Analyze lead quality and collaborate with Sales to refine targeting and messaging.
• Maintain event playbooks, vendor databases, and post-event retrospectives.
• Leverage data and insights to continuously enhance field marketing performance and efficiency.
• 2-5 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or event operations, ideally within B2B SaaS or technology sectors.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time.
• Strong preference for candidates residing in San Francisco or New York.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex, multi-stakeholder events from the research phase through to post-event analysis.
• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to juggle multiple events and workstreams simultaneously.
• Experience working alongside sales teams and aligning marketing initiatives with pipeline goals.
• Proficiency in event management platforms (such as Swoogo, Luma) and CRM systems (like Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience in budget management and a proven ability to deliver ROI.
• Ownership mindset—proactively identify opportunities, make decisions, and drive initiatives forward without needing direction.
• Strategic thinker—connect individual events to broader business goals and pipeline targets.

• Experience in security, compliance, or trust/privacy tech sectors (preferred).
• Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) programs (preferred).
• Experience planning events for technical audiences such as CISOs, security engineers, and compliance professionals (preferred).
• Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event formats (preferred).
• Established vendor network and relationships within the event industry (preferred).
