Field CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as Gravitee's leading technical authority during key customer interactions.

• Provide guidance to CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and AI leaders on modernization strategies, platform architecture, and governance frameworks.

• Engage in executive briefings, architecture evaluations, workshops, and customer strategy discussions.

• Establish credibility with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Assist customers in the design and governance of enterprise AI projects.

• Offer advice on architectures that include AI agents, MCP servers, A2A protocols, LLM gateways, AI security, and agent governance.

• Create reference architectures and best practices for adopting enterprise AI.

• Support customers in safely operationalizing AI through observability, access control, governance, and policy enforcement.

• Serve as Gravitee's subject matter expert in API management, event-driven architecture, integration patterns, and distributed systems.

• Provide architectural advice for hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-premise scenarios.

• Counsel customers on modernization efforts involving APIs, event streaming, asynchronous architectures, and platform engineering.

• Support Gravitee's most significant and strategic opportunities and clients.

• Lead technical discussions and architecture assessments at the executive level.

• Foster confidence in Gravitee's technical vision and long-term strategy.

• Collect market insights from customers, prospects, partners, and industry leaders.

• Deliver structured feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Shape product strategy, roadmap priorities, and investments in emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, software architecture, platform engineering, API management, integration technologies, or similar technical leadership roles.

• Extensive knowledge in API management, API security, API governance, and distributed systems.

• Significant experience in designing and implementing enterprise integration and event-driven architectures.

• Proven experience with AI architectures, including LLMs, AI agents, agent orchestration, MCP servers, AI gateways, and AI governance frameworks.

• Experience working directly with executive stakeholders, such as CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and engineering leadership.

• Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Background in supporting enterprise sales cycles and high-stakes customer interactions.
