
Field Claims Specialist, Workers' Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Investigating losses
• Analyzing coverage, assessing compensability and benefits
• Setting reserves and negotiating settlements
• Conducting in-person meetings with claimants and insured parties
• Preparing comprehensive large loss reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Participating in settlement conferences, pre-trials, and trials as assigned
• Collaborating closely with defense attorneys and various vendors, including medical case management and surveillance
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in California workers' compensation claims adjusting, specifically with higher exposure claims, is required
• An active California workers' compensation adjusters license is mandatory
• Residing in Southern California is essential
• Strong preference will be given to candidates with industry designations, such as Associate in Claims
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary, along with the ability to interact effectively with a range of internal and external contacts
