Field CISO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the public representative of Flare, assisting prospects and clients in understanding why identity represents the primary threat of 2026.

• Act as Flare's main liaison with sector ISACs, providing research that is genuinely useful to the communities.

• Stay proactive in identifying emerging and innovative threats, rapidly developing talks and briefings on new campaigns while they are still relevant.

• Participate in customer and sales calls to support business acquisition, effectively communicating with executive audiences.

• Conduct weekly threat briefings for our clients regarding the latest emerging threats.

• Develop original research focused on stealer logs, identity-based threats, dark web and Telegram ecosystems, non-human identity, and emerging attack vectors.

• Present research findings at conferences, ISAC sessions, and executive briefings.

• Collaborate with marketing and sales to ensure that research and relationships foster brand growth and pipeline development as a secondary benefit.

• Engage in extensive travel.

• This position operates in the field, with a significant calendar of conferences and working groups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in law enforcement, senior intelligence, or security leadership roles.

• Proven, hands-on technical expertise in the cybercrime landscape: stealer logs, credential and identity threats, underground forums, and markets.

• Established track record of original research and a public presence: published works, conference talks, media mentions.

• Experience in threat intelligence from a cybersecurity vendor, government cybersecurity, or notable independent research.

• Value constructive feedback, exhibit radical candor, and possess a strong motivation for continuous improvement.

• Comfortable with structured processes and flourish in the uncertainty typical of a startup environment.
