This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria, +2 more countries.
• Act as a bioprocessing domain authority, assisting biotechnology and biopharmaceutical clients in expediting technology adoption, process design, and optimization throughout downstream workflows.
• Interact with customers in a peer-to-peer, application-centered manner, offering technical leadership and process insights before, during, and after the sales process.
• Address complex process challenges, perform demonstrations and proof-of-principle studies, and provide technical training.
• Collaborate with both commercial and technical teams to guarantee successful customer results while promoting continuous product enhancement.
• Aid downstream bioprocessing workflows and support technology qualification.
• Keep precise records of customer engagements, opportunity tracking, and technical documentation within Salesforce.com (SFDC CRM).
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field, or equivalent bioprocessing experience.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in bioprocessing, including Process Development, MSAT, or cGMP Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with single-use chromatography systems, filtration technologies, and downstream purification methods.
• Proven track record in supporting process development, troubleshooting, scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing optimization.
• Experience in regulated cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of downstream bioprocessing workflows, cGMP principles, and global regulatory standards.
• Ability to read and interpret User Requirement Specifications (URS), P&IDs, batch records, and qualification protocols.
• Knowledge of automation systems, process control HMIs, and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in process design, optimization, and workflow consulting using data-driven approaches.
• Understanding of Process Analytical Technology (PAT), Design of Experiments (DoE), and Quality by Design (QbD) principles.
• Familiarity with ASME-BPE standards and risk assessments for extractables/leachables in single-use systems.
• Skilled in data analysis tools such as Excel and JMP.
