Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct assistance to Global clients, emphasizing those within the designated region.

• Aid in the development and troubleshooting of products utilizing Ambiq’s ultra-low power solutions.

• Support all facets of the customer design-in process.

• Assist customers with hardware and software development through to full-scale production.

• Collaborate closely with Ambiq sales teams to facilitate customer design-in initiatives.

• Serve as an expert in low power design, guiding customers on optimizing power consumption at the system level.

• Conduct design reviews of customer schematics and PCB layouts.

• Help customers utilize Ambiq MCU software development tools effectively.

• Support the initiation and troubleshooting of customer designs, including software, hardware, and overall system integration.

• Relay customer feedback to marketing and engineering teams.

• Evaluate customer software and hardware design specifications.

• Promote emerging technologies and provide training and enablement for the sales team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a Field Applications Engineering position within the semiconductor industry.

• Significant experience in visiting, presenting to, and collaborating with customers.

• Proficient in embedded 32-bit MCU software and hardware.

• Experience with Cortex-M ARM-based microcontrollers is highly advantageous.

• Skilled in debugging typical embedded MCU hardware and software challenges.

• Familiarity with supporting and designing low-power radios (BLE, BT Classic, 802.15.4) is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or a related field) is required; candidates lacking a degree must possess a minimum of 10+ years of directly relevant professional experience.
