This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Conduct daily outreach to farmgate contacts to evaluate feeding programs and propose solutions backed by Purina.
• Develop and sustain networks primarily in the equine sector, along with beef cattle, small ruminants, wildlife, poultry, and companion animal operations, while participating in industry events to exchange best practices and foster new business ventures.
• Assist sales and marketing efforts by presenting nutritionally sound feeding recommendations and programs to both new and existing clientele.
• Manage and expand an existing portfolio from day one, benefiting from established customer connections and immediate sales prospects.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with dealer/co-op teams and Purina experts to support partner objectives.
• Cultivate expertise in Purina's research, innovation, and sustainability initiatives to provide value during customer interactions.
• Effectively lead activities, educational events, and on-site demonstrations to enhance producer trust, brand recognition, nutritional value, and customer loyalty.
• Operate independently as well as collaboratively in a flexible, remote work setting, overseeing territory, schedule, and customer relationships with guidance from a supervisor.
• Coordinate and implement product strategies, marketing initiatives, product launches, and field events in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Engage in team meetings and sales training, execute sales strategies, and work with colleagues for ongoing improvement.
• Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and technological tools (e.g., Power BI) to document activities and guide business decisions.
• A Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related discipline is highly preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience with a demonstrated history of success.
• Proficient in feed and ration formulations.
• Strong passion for livestock care and agricultural products.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in customer service or sales support.
• Willingness to travel 5-10% overnight, along with daily travel within the assigned region.
