This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Proactively generate sales opportunities by engaging with end-users from U.S. civilian federal agencies to comprehend their needs and objectives, while strategically aligning our solutions to fulfill those requirements.
• Develop a Dealer of Record relationship with supply chain partners and negotiate optimal margins.
• Broaden the customer base by researching and identifying opportunities among existing customers and establishing new relationships and networks within the federal sector. Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns and online inquiries.
• Collaborate internally across all supporting resources and teams to guarantee customer satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or issues while providing feedback on areas for improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software regarding customer activities, including needs, priorities, opportunities, and constraints.
• This position requires significant travel, with an expectation of spending approximately 50% of the time visiting military bases, participating in trade shows, industry events, and conferences to expand networks and cultivate relationships for generating new leads.
• Stay informed about new product developments and industry trends related to Military and/or Federal customers and their associated supply chains.
• Higher education is preferred. This may include military personnel who have received relevant training or possess experience that substitutes for civilian qualifications.
• A minimum of 4 years experience supporting federal law enforcement, homeland security, or intelligence agencies. Familiarity with facility operations, training environments, and tactical/logistics equipment is advantageous.
• Understanding of the military and government bidding process and procurement is beneficial. A valid driver’s license is required.
• A strong commitment to working with and supporting all military services in the completion of their missions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities and exceptional presentation skills. Must demonstrate a professional demeanor that enables the building of rapport and meaningful relationships with all military branches.
• Self-motivated and proactive, displaying a strong sense of accountability and initiative in resolving challenges.
• Strong negotiation skills to ensure value for all parties involved.
• Exceptional research capabilities, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information to support solutions.
• Willingness to be mobile and travel by land and air as necessary.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• Exhibits strong team-building qualities, collaborating effectively with internal departments and suppliers.
• Proficient in PC applications, including CRM software (SalesForce) and Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder).
