This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.
• Prepare and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor essential financial metrics such as food cost, labor cost, and gross profit margin.
• Analyze and track operational costs, including food, beverage, labor, and overhead, to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement financial controls and cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.
• Collaborate with kitchen and procurement teams to optimize food inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax filings.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax, health regulations, and labor laws.
• Maintain precise and current financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
• Monitor cash flow to guarantee sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
• Manage banking relationships, loans, and credit facilities.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements.
• Implement and uphold restaurant inventory management systems for accurate tracking and valuation of food and beverage items.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure product pricing and vendor relationships are aligned with financial objectives.
• Assist the restaurant owner/management team in formulating long-term financial strategies.
• Support decision-making by offering financial insights and recommendations regarding menu pricing, expansions, and capital investments.
• Develop financial models for new business initiatives, renovations, or marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with operations and kitchen teams to align financial and operational objectives.
• Train restaurant staff on financial protocols, such as budgeting, invoice management, and cost control practices.
• Ensure timely payroll processing and accuracy in employee compensation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and POS systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Solid understanding of restaurant operations, food costing, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and tax laws relevant to the hospitality industry.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with restaurant management software (e.g., Toast, Square, Upserve).
• Previous experience managing multiple restaurant locations or a chain of restaurants.
