Family Law Litigation Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Represent clients in contested hearings, temporary orders hearings, and family law trials

• Facilitate mediations and adversarial settlement discussions

• Conduct depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for their testimonies

• Formulate litigation strategies and take charge of cases when negotiations do not succeed

• Review and modify motions, pleadings, and responses prepared by the drafting/paralegal team

• Support clients through court appearances utilizing a trauma-informed and client-focused approach

• Act as the primary courtroom advocate while utilizing internal support teams for drafting, intake, and trial preparation

• Work in collaboration with committed paralegals responsible for creating exhibit binders, trial notebooks, and preparing for hearings

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Texas Bar license or documented reciprocity process in progress

• At least 3+ years of family law litigation experience; OR 5+ years of civil litigation experience with a clear interest in transitioning to family law

• Extensive courtroom experience managing contested hearings, motions, mediations, and/or trials

• Proficient in taking depositions and preparing witnesses

• Capable of handling emotionally charged matters with professionalism and emotional intelligence

• Strong skills in advocacy, negotiation, and litigation strategy

• Exceptional communication skills and confidence in high-conflict environments
