This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Evaluate RMA, Failure Analysis, and Repair data.
• Detect trends and issue quality alerts when needed.
• Lead the resolution, containment, and mitigation strategies for quality alerts.
• Monitor the operational performance of Failure Analysis contract manufacturers, ensuring that partners meet key performance indicators, such as FA cycle times, fault duplication rates, and fault isolation rates.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication and support to contract manufacturers in debugging repairs based on FA procedures, best practices, and case backgrounds from FA operations.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Test Engineers in troubleshooting specific field RMAs.
• Review and authorize Failure Analysis outcomes.
• Ensure the status of RMA and Failure Analysis cases is current in Arista Support case management systems.
• Drive insights from RMA/FA back into Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Support teams.
• Publish external-facing Failure Analysis Reports to Arista Support teams.
• Oversee the integration of new products into Failure Analysis and debug repair operations, including TOI, test plans, tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
• Collaborate with the Arista Service Planning team to ensure quality alerts and ECOs are accurately executed across service depot inventory.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Test, Engineering, Diagnostics, TAC) to enhance and expand Root Cause Failure Analysis capabilities.
• Manage the debug and repair backlog and aging.
• Follow up on resolutions for operational partner(s) regarding test-mfg critical escalated tickets.
• Enhance contract manufacturers' test and debug procedures, operations, and efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date test plans or TOI communications with our partners.
• Own the performance of test yields and drive activities for improvement.
• Manage the budget and inventory of capital equipment, golden units, tooling, and fixtures related to the debug and test processes for repair flow.
• Oversee the testing and debugging capacity and capability in repair to meet mid- and long-term demand.
• Provide insights for vendor Scorecard and Quality Business Review (QBR).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in high-tech manufacturing, preferably with networking equipment.
• Background in working with contract manufacturing partners.
• Knowledge in PCBA manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, and related processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of test, diagnostics, failure analysis, and debugging techniques.
• Foundational knowledge of quality and reliability performance metrics.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, balancing the technical and business aspects of hardware manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of ERP systems and supply chain concepts.
• Self-motivated individual with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to influence and inspire both internal and external partners.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience in Failure Analysis, Service, and Repair Operations is a plus.
• Proficient in analyzing data through high-level visual summaries, trends, and patterns.
