This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Responsible for maintaining restaurants through proactive upkeep across all areas of the establishment.
• Supports the Facilities Manager by overseeing the facility-related aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
• Conducts facility maintenance and repairs via monthly site visits and evaluations of restaurants.
• Develops preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective functioning of restaurant facilities.
• Implements established procedures to follow in the event that facilities become non-operational.
• Trains managers, crew members, and other restaurant personnel on how to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair restaurant facilities.
• Ensures that managers, crew, and other restaurant staff consistently adhere to facility maintenance practices and procedures.
• Facilitates in-depth facility maintenance and repair seminars.
• Supplies the Operations Team with detailed recaps from maintenance visits, highlighting restaurant strengths and areas for improvement.
• Identifies specific factors contributing to elevated maintenance and repair costs and communicates these findings.
• Provides guidance to restaurants on maintaining and updating facility records.
• Regularly performs repairs on equipment and buildings.
• Conducts new store turnover, 90-day, and one-year inspections/punch lists with the Contractor and Operations Team for all new restaurants.
• Acts as the facilities representative during operations management meetings.
• Possess extensive trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair, and basic HVAC/refrigeration.
• Be well-versed in the rules and regulations governing facility safety requirements.
• Demonstrate the capability to manage and coordinate multiple schedules while planning work to ensure timely completion of results.
• Communicate and train effectively, clearly, and patiently on facility maintenance and repair concepts.
• Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report for travel between restaurant locations.
• Hold a B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent education and experience, with two (2) years of formal or informal training in facility repair and maintenance; experience with restaurant equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair is preferred.
