Exposure Intelligence Analyst – Databases, Data Stores, RDBMS, NoSQL, Object Storage, Permissions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate security signals into narratives that emphasize the potential for exploitation and its impact.

• Detect attack vectors that lead to unauthorized data access, privilege escalation, and exposure of sensitive information.

• Offer prioritization and remediation recommendations while monitoring the outcomes of closure efforts.

• Serve as the subject-matter expert for data-layer vulnerabilities across RDBMS, NoSQL systems, data warehouses, object storage, and data permission structures.

• Recognize insecure permissions, exposed storage, inadequate encryption practices, misconfigured access policies, and unsafe service-to-service interactions.

• Identify overarching patterns such as excessive access rights, outdated entitlements, misconfigured storage endpoints, and insufficient audit capabilities.

• Collaborate with data owners and platform teams to minimize exposure risks and enhance preventive measures.

• Convert security insights into actionable remediation plans to decrease enterprise exposure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in data platform security, cloud security, security engineering, or exposure management.

• Proficient understanding of data access frameworks, permission models, and frequent misconfiguration issues.

• Capability to translate data risks into business implications and remediation priorities.

• Experience with securing object storage, database hardening principles, and data access governance.

• Familiarity with cloud data services and their associated permission structures.

• Strong analytical abilities to validate exposure theories using queries and logs.

• Must undergo a background investigation.
