Exploration Geologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the maintenance and updates of geological databases pertinent to the project.

• Conduct prospecting, mapping, and regional reconnaissance activities.

• Monitor drill rig operations, log core samples, and execute relevant workflows and procedures (QA/QC, etc.).

• Compile data effectively.

• Acquire structural measurements as necessary.

• Provide insights for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

• Supervise, train, and nurture junior staff members.

• Assist in the implementation of corporate safety and operational policies.

• Contribute to the development of new corporate and operational policies as situations arise.

• Undertake other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Earth Sciences (or equivalent qualification).

• Must be registered or eligible for registration in a GIT (Geologist in Training) program.

• Relevant practical experience in exploration scenarios.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.

• Self-driven with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• A positive and adaptable attitude towards a dynamic and demanding work environment.

• Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite, GIS programs, Leapfrog Geo, and other industry-standard software suites is an asset.

• Capacity to lift and transport core boxes/sample bags and hike considerable distances across varied terrains.

• Availability to work rotations lasting up to 28 days and reside in a camp environment at remote project sites.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Possession of a valid BC Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s licence.
