Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, consecutive interpretation mainly in medical environments.

• Enable vital communication within social services and financial sectors.

• Initially engage in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) based on your performance.

• Become part of a 100% remote English-Spanish interpretation team catering to healthcare and other industries.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• Minimum C1 proficiency in English.

• Valid English certifications accepted from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the past 12 months.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications: ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9, or LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Complete command of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must currently possess, or be willing to acquire, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Willingness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• Hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is strictly prohibited.

• High-quality, noise-canceling USB headset required.

• Minimum Windows 10 operating system and 4GB RAM.

• Latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge necessary.

• A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant workspace is essential.
