Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, consecutive interpretation primarily within medical environments.

• Enable essential communication in social services and financial sectors.

• Initially perform Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) based on performance metrics.

• Assist in communication within the global healthcare industry.

• Operate based on self-determined availability, adhering to a minimum weekly hour requirement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• Proficient in English at a minimum C1 level.

• Valid English certifications recognized from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the last 12 months.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Complete understanding of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must currently possess, or be prepared to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Willingness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• A mandatory hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

• High-quality, noise-canceling USB headset required.

• Minimum requirement of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM.

• Latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is necessary.

• A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is essential.
