Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, consecutive interpretation primarily within medical environments.

• Enable essential communication in social services and financial areas.

• Begin with Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) contingent on performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• Fluency in English at a minimum C1 level.

• Valid English certifications from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE are acceptable.

• Evidence of medical interpreter knowledge obtained within the last 12 months.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include ALTA Spanish fluency with a score of at least 9.

• Passing score of 75–80% on LanguageStat (PICSI).

• Complete understanding of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must possess, or be willing to acquire, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Readiness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• A mandatory hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is strictly not allowed.

• A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is required.

• Minimum requirement of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM.

• The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge must be installed.

• A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is essential.
