Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish, predominantly in medical environments.

• Enable essential communication in social services and financial sectors.

• Initially engage in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) contingent upon performance.

• Become a member of a completely remote interpreter team located in Latin America.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level.

• Accepted proof of English proficiency includes valid EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE certification.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the last 12 months.

• ALTA certification in Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9, or a passing score of 75–80% on LanguageStat (PICSI).

• Comprehensive understanding of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must possess or be willing to obtain HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Willingness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• A mandatory hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is not allowed.

• A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is required.

• Minimum specifications of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM.

• The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is necessary.

• A dedicated, quiet workspace that is fully compliant with HIPAA regulations.
