Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise and consecutive interpretation from English to Spanish primarily in healthcare environments.

• Enable essential communication within social service and financial sectors.

• Initially engage in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) depending on performance.

• Become part of and contribute to a collaborative global team.

• Fulfill the minimum required weekly hours while establishing your working hours according to your availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• Minimum fluency in English at the C1 level.

• Valid English certifications recognized from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the past 12 months.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Complete understanding of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must currently possess, or be willing to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Willingness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• Requirement for a hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

• High-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is necessary.

• Minimum Windows 10 operating system and 4GB RAM are required.

• Must have the latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge.

• A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant workspace is essential.
