Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish, primarily in medical environments.

• Enable essential communication in social services and financial areas.

• Begin with Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) contingent on performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• English fluency at a minimum of C1 level.

• Valid English certification from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE is acceptable.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the last 12 months.

• Recognized medical interpretation certifications: ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9, or LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Complete understanding of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must currently possess, or be willing to secure, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Readiness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• Required hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is not allowed.

• High-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is necessary.

• Minimum Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM required.

• Latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is essential.

• A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant workspace is required.

• Information regarding native language and English proficiency must be provided in the application.
