Experienced Spanish Interpreter – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

• Deliver precise and consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish, primarily in medical environments.

• Enable essential communication within social services and financial domains.

• Start by providing Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) contingent on performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• English fluency at a minimum C1 level.

• Valid English certification from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE accepted.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the last 12 months.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9, or LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Complete understanding of medical and customer service terminology.

• Must currently possess, or be willing to secure, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Willingness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• Mandatory hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router; Wi-Fi is strictly prohibited.

• High-quality, noise-canceling USB headset required.

• Minimum Windows 10 operating system and 4GB RAM.

• Latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge required.

• A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is essential.
