Experienced Spanish Interpreter, LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish, primarily in medical environments.

• Enable vital communication within social services and financial sectors.

• Start with Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).

• Advance to Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) based on your performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• Must possess at least C1 level fluency in English.

• Valid certifications such as EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE are accepted.

• Documentation of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the past 12 months is required.

• Accepted medical interpretation certifications include ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9 or LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score between 75–80%.

• Complete command of medical and customer service terminology is essential.

• Candidates must currently hold or be prepared to obtain HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Willingness to successfully undergo a standard background check via email is necessary.

• A mandatory hardwired Ethernet connection directly to the router is required; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

• A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is necessary.

• Must have a minimum of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM.

• The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is required.

• A dedicated, quiet working environment that is fully HIPAA-compliant is essential.

• Candidates must reside in Latin America.
