Executive Director, Clinical Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and steer the Clinical Data Science strategy across the global clinical development portfolio.

• Guarantee the thorough application of statistical principles and advanced data science techniques to enhance the efficiency of clinical trials.

• Lead the integration of AI/ML solutions for applications in disease diagnosis, modeling, imaging, genomics, proteomics, and precision medicine.

• Act as the main representative for Data Science during Health Authority meetings.

• Promote the adoption of innovative AI/ML methodologies for disease modeling and precision medicine.

• Oversee and mentor a diverse team of data scientists and managers across various locations.

• Ensure compliance with GxP standards in data science programming for clinical trials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate in Biostatistics or a Master’s Degree in Biostatistics paired with a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or related computational sciences.

• Extensive knowledge of statistical methods and their implementation in clinical trials.

• At least 10 years of industry experience in clinical development, including Data Science and Biostatistics.

• Acknowledged thought leader in at least one data science domain (e.g., AI/ML modeling, precision medicine).

• Demonstrated experience presenting at external events and influencing regulatory bodies.

• Strong leadership skills in a Data Science environment.

• Previous research experience in neurology, especially regarding Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers (plasma, CSF, imaging), is highly preferred.
