This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
β’ Responsible for the overall success and implementation of Regional Events, including LACademy and other designated regional events in the Americas.
β’ Supervise the execution of meetings in the LAC Region, which includes the Presidents Meeting, Moderator Summit, Leadership Summit, and Regional Leadership Academy.
β’ Facilitate discussions with Regional Directors, Regional Event Committees, and other Member Leaders about event timing, location, financial contributions, and strategic planning.
β’ Provide training for member leader committees and spearhead ongoing volunteer training related to Events.
β’ Oversee the financial management of events, including hotel contract negotiations, budget approvals, and final financial reconciliations.
β’ Organize all meeting logistics, including Food and Beverage, Audio/Visual arrangements, and room block coordination with contracted hotels.
β’ Plan off-site social events and transportation related to events, offering assistance for any pre/post tours as needed.
β’ Manage internal marketing efforts for events, which include public site updates, event information in newsletters, staff communications, participation in functional calls, and promotion at other regional events.
β’ Assess staffing needs and coordinate travel arrangements for the Executive Team and Board, collaborating with the Board Liaison and Executive Team Liaison.
β’ Create a post-event report that encompasses evaluations, lessons learned, and the organizational impact.
β’ Retain crucial event documentation and review training and resources to ensure the implementation of learnings.
β’ Work with the translation and interpretation team to ensure all pre-event materials and onsite needs are adequately addressed.
β’ Ensure compliance with best practices and minimum standards as defined by the Director.
β’ Assist the Director as required.
β’ Provide additional event support as assigned, including GLC, Universities, or EO meetings.
β’ Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in event-related program development and execution is necessary.
β’ Experience in planning and executing events in Latin America, with a preference for experience in the US and Canada.
β’ Background in working within an international or global organization.
β’ Experience in contract compliance and budget management.
β’ Skills in survey creation, data compilation, and analysis are required.
β’ Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Suite, Email Marketing Tools, and basic web content editing.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments across the organization.
β’ Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with all stakeholders including members, staff, vendors, contractors, and others.
β’ Strong customer service orientation and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Capability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy, and composure.
β’ Well-honed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Preferred: Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation and Project Management Training.
