This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Events Manager to organize and execute a growing schedule of Open Home Foundation events, which includes support with logistics (comprehensive venue and vendor sourcing, travel and accommodation arrangements, signage, etc.) and budget management.

• Assist the Events Manager and Community Lead in spotting opportunities to engage community members, contributors, and partners in our events. Aid in collecting feedback from attendees and play a role in shaping our events’ identity while fostering a warm, inclusive, and community-centric atmosphere.

• Contribute to the planning and execution (including technical setup) of online community events such as virtual meetups, live streams, AMAs, and panel sessions, as well as hybrid remote/in-person events.

• Collaborate with the Community team to promote events across various community channels including forums, Discord, social media, and newsletters. This will involve event communications (save the date, registration pages) and event content (programs, speaker briefings).

• Keep accurate records of event activities, costs, and outcomes. Monitor and report on essential event metrics such as attendance, engagement, satisfaction ratings, and geographical reach.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination, event support, or a similar role.

• Proven experience in aiding the planning and execution of events of different scales, from small gatherings to larger conferences or trade show appearances.

• Experience in budget management and collaboration with external suppliers and venues.

• Ability to adapt and remain flexible when facing challenges and changing timelines.

• A sincere enthusiasm for community engagement and a belief in the value of bringing people together.

• Willingness to travel, including occasional international trips for events.

• Professional fluency in English: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• European residency: You must currently reside in and be eligible to work in Europe.
