This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and manage event-streaming solutions utilizing Kafka and RabbitMQ to drive business transformation—both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Design, construct, and oversee contemporary event-streaming architectures leveraging Kafka and RabbitMQ—whether on-premises or cloud-based.
• Deploy and administer streaming technologies through Kubernetes.
• Implement and enhance stream-processing solutions using frameworks like Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, or Apache Flink.
• Ensure system stability and performance through proactive monitoring and efficient troubleshooting.
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes.
• Manage infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event streaming or related fields.
• Strong expertise in deploying and managing event-streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and their application in production settings.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD technologies and pipelines.
• Proficient in Python (preferably with additional programming languages as well).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• High level of ownership, a structured approach to work, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ideally:
• You possess experience in designing and managing scalable event-streaming architectures with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• You are knowledgeable about stream-processing frameworks such as Spark Streaming, Kafka Streams, or Flink.
• You have experience with other data-processing tools like Apache NiFi.
• You are familiar with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and comfortable with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• You have a foundational understanding of security best practices in streaming environments.
• You are open to travel for engaging client projects.
• You hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
