ETL Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive data validation strategies for ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Assess the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data within cloud data warehouses.

• Design and enhance intricate SQL queries for data validation and analysis purposes.

• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing for data workflows.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to grasp business rules and data transformations.

• Develop and sustain automated testing frameworks for data validation.

• Ensure compliance with data quality standards and governance policies.

• Detect defects, monitor issues, and guarantee prompt resolution.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Data QA / ETL Testing (6+ years preferred).

• Extensive experience with modern cloud data warehouses, including Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.

• Exceptional SQL skills (essential): Complex joins, window functions, aggregations, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience in testing ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., utilizing Airflow, DBT, Informatica, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of Data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas) and Data lakes and lakehouse architectures.

• Familiarity with API and backend testing is advantageous.

• Knowledge of test automation tools or scripting (Python preferred).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
