Estimation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Generate technical quotations for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear projects by evaluating project requirements and associated costs.

• Create precise cost estimates by gathering and analyzing raw material, labor, equipment, and tooling expenses.

• Recognize, evaluate, and quantify cost uncertainties to ensure thorough and trustworthy costing models.

• Revise estimates and pricing in response to changes in project scope, updated specifications, and new information.

• Collaborate across departments with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams throughout the quotation process.

• Examine and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, bid documents, and RFQs to create precise proposals.

• Prepare and deliver quotation packages and proposals in reply to customer RFQs.

• Acquire and supply pricing for buyout items from approved vendor partners as requested by the Sales team.

• Analyze RFQ documentation and summarize essential requirements, risks, and project details for internal stakeholders.

• Assist the Sales team by conveying critical project information and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of quotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing

• Proficiency in reading single line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications

• Expert knowledge of LV/MV switchgear

• Experience with technical proposals and quotations in electrical equipment manufacturing

• Exceptional computer, communication, and organizational skills are essential

• Intermediate knowledge of automation & control and metering solutions

• Travel will be necessary during onboarding and training phases, which will last 3-6 months and may require up to 25% travel during that period.
