ERISA and Compliance Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical expert for compliance related to qualified retirement plans.

• Assist colleagues and clients in comprehending plan rules, regulations, amendments, corrections, and intricate eligibility matters.

• Collaborate with retirement plan, audit, and compliance teams to enhance risk management efforts.

• Tackle operational challenges and ensure that plan administration is in accordance with ERISA and Department of Labor standards.

• Investigate regulatory and compliance topics and communicate findings to compliance leadership and team members.

• Evaluate plan amendments for precision and potential unintended effects.

• Aid in resolving operational discrepancies by examining correction calculations and authorizing necessary corrections.

• Contribute to compliance testing, including general nondiscrimination and average benefit percentage assessments.

• Create and deliver standard compliance reports and assist with IRS and Department of Labor submissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience in Business, Economics, or Law.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in ERISA and qualified plans administration.

• Juris Doctor degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

• ASPPA, CEBS, CRPS, or PRP certification within one year is preferred.
