Epic Certified HB Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Analyze, design, configure, test, implement, and support Epic Hospital Billing (HB) applications.

• As a leading subject matter expert, oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of intricate reimbursement contracts and payment methodologies.

• Configure and provide support for Epic Claims and Remittance functionalities, encompassing claim generation, payment posting, and reimbursement processing.

• Collaborate with patient financial services, managed care, revenue integrity, finance, and operational leaders to enhance billing and reimbursement results.

• Convert payer contract requirements into configurations within the Epic HB system.

• Configure and support proration methodologies and reimbursement calculations.

• Resolve complex issues related to billing, payment, remittance, and contracts.

• Conduct reimbursement validation and analyze payment variances.

• Lead system testing, integrated testing, upgrades, enhancements, and updates to payer contracts.

• Create functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and supporting documentation.

• Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency, improve reimbursement accuracy, and boost revenue cycle performance.

• Provide production support and ongoing recommendations for optimization.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Epic HB, Claims, Remittance, Contracts, and Proration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Epic HB certification or a high level of proficiency.

• Over 5 years of experience as an Epic Hospital Billing (HB) analyst, including: Epic HB Administration, Claims Management, Remittance Processing, Contract Management, Proration Configuration, and Reimbursement Analysis.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• In-depth knowledge of hospital revenue cycle operations and payer reimbursement methodologies.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining complex payer contracts within Epic HB.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
