This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Epic Grand Central and Prelude, with additional involvement in inpatient and ancillary modules as required.
• Assist with ongoing system operations including incident resolution, ticket triage, maintenance, and optimization efforts.
• Engage in Epic upgrades, testing cycles, and deployment activities, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical and operational processes.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams, FTE analysts, project managers, and technical personnel to translate business requirements into system solutions.
• Develop, analyze, and sustain clinical and operational requirements, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and Epic best practices.
• Support and configure functionalities related to: Bed planning and capacity management, Transfer Center workflows, Security and electronic signature (e-Sign), Peripheral device integration, Operational dashboards and reporting tools.
• Aid in defining and documenting functional specifications, workflows, interface requirements, and system enhancements.
• Participate in unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities for system modifications and enhancements.
• Provide continuous end-user support, troubleshooting, and recommendations for workflow optimization.
• Record system changes, release notes, testing outcomes, and training materials in line with change control procedures.
• Collaborate across Epic application teams supporting inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, and revenue cycle workflows as necessary.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying gaps and proposing enhancements to boost efficiency and patient care workflows.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, including status updates, issue tracking, and escalation management.
• Engage in meetings, working sessions, and project governance activities to ensure alignment and timely achievement of objectives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts or team members as needed.
• Epic Certification in Grand Central and Prelude (mandatory)
• 2–5 years of experience in supporting Epic EMR or similar clinical systems
• Strong comprehension of healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
• Experience with system support, upgrades, testing, and maintenance in production environments.
• Capability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
