This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Analyzes, designs, and modifies software applications, including coding, testing, debugging, and installation to facilitate the implementation of one or more software modules.
• Acts as a liaison among the IT Department, vendors, and clients for various systems and applications.
• Collects input from departments to prioritize development initiatives and activities.
• Evaluates workflow and implements solutions to address departmental needs.
• Offers technical and application support to both clients and IT personnel as needed.
• Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for all assigned applications, and plans and executes testing for supported applications.
• Engages in daily system support as well as during implementations.
• Collaborates with IT Educators to ensure that updates to system features and functions are communicated effectively, allowing for appropriate updates to training plans and documentation.
• Mentors Epic Applications Analyst I.
• At least two years of experience in Epic build.
• A minimum of three years in modifying and supporting computer system applications.
• At least three years of PC-related experience, including basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Epic Certification or Accreditation in Anesthesia (mandatory) and in Optime (preferred).
• An Associate degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience is required.
• Upholds a professional image and demonstrates excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
• Provides a higher level of technical expertise compared to an Epic Applications Analyst I.
• Assists in the coordination of system upgrades and major projects, offering support as necessary.
• Completes assignments punctually and meets all deadlines.
• Ensures that system modifications comply with change management procedures and protocols.
• Participates in an on-call rotation that includes daily, after-hours, and weekend duties, providing 24/7 client support as required.
• May require occasional travel for training sessions, implementations, and conferences.
