This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Provide expertise in environmental planning to lead or assist in securing local, state, and/or federal permits.
• Execute tasks related to NEPA or other local, state, and federal permitting processes.
• Investigate requirements for a diverse range of local, state, and federal permits.
• Work collaboratively with staff, agencies, clients, and other project partners to streamline permit submissions and timelines.
• Synthesize and convey the stipulations and requirements associated with permits.
• Monitor and organize the permit processes and their current statuses.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance in both work and meetings.
• Actively support and engage in alignment with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group’s culture centered on safety and employee ownership.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; stay informed of and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working with federal, state, or local agencies.
• In-depth knowledge of NEPA regulations.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills with the ability to provide relevant examples.
• Capability to perform job duties independently and efficiently, even under tight deadlines.
• Highly organized, driven, detail-oriented, accurate, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Proficient in interacting and coordinating with state, federal, local, and tribal agencies.
• Willingness and capability to engage in business and client relationship development as required.
• Strong ability to track tasks in detail and take comprehensive notes.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English sufficient to carry out job responsibilities and communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors.
