This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Perform inspections and sampling related to microbial, lead, asbestos, and industrial hygiene.
• Process and dispose of samples and evidence in accordance with ASTM and industry standards.
• Prepare chain of custody documentation and accurately record survey data.
• Track billable hours and expenses for services provided to external clients.
• Collect detailed notes, photographs, and measurements of temperature, relative humidity, and moisture.
• Promote and market investigative services targeted at the insurance sector within the designated territory.
• Collaborate with Senior Environmental Field Technicians on more complex cases.
• Create inspection reports based on scientific findings and the scope of the project.
• Adhere to established industry methodologies during service delivery.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, and prospects.
• Assist with and observe contractor activities, engaging with clients and contractor or subcontractor representatives.
• Undertake other assigned responsibilities and support organizational quality initiatives.
• An Associate degree in Environmental Science, Microbiology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is preferred.
• A high school diploma along with two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
• Current professional certifications and licensing applicable to the respective state.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Preference for current CMC, CIE, CRMI, or equivalent certifications.
• Preference for a current AHERA Inspector license, EPA Inspector license, EPA Asbestos Abatement certification, or OSHA HAZWOPER training.
• Familiarity with current EHS industry standards, regulations, methodologies, and equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, interpretive, problem-solving, and project-prioritization abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and work both independently and within a team.
• Ability to meet or exceed established performance benchmarks.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods, kneel, squat, bend, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead.
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, both hot and cold.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to drive for up to four hours per day.
