Entry Level Technical Field Advisor, Steam Turbine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, execute, coordinate, and/or monitor activities at Steam Power sites.

• Carry out on-site installations of systems and equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations following installation.

• Address emergency repair and service requests for malfunctioning equipment.

• Offer technical guidance and support to customer representatives at their locations.

• Compose technical and customer reports.

• Procure materials and obtain quotations.

• Compile job status reports, timesheets, and expense reports.

• Approve all changes implemented.

• Diagnose and conduct routine maintenance checks on a diverse range of equipment vintages.

• Generate precise technical reports for customer documentation and future outages.

• Ensure all necessary parts are delivered to the site.

• Execute aftermarket upgrades at the site level.

• Oversee critical tasks carried out by third parties, including measurements and dimensional checks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or above, or a High School Diploma/GED combined with 4+ years of experience in Field Services or maintenance of power generation equipment.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time.

• Experience on customer sites is preferred.

• Technically adept, quick learner, and self-motivated.

• Strong knowledge of Steam Turbine Operations and Controlling Parameters or Steam Boiler Operational Principles is preferred.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.

• Familiarity with dial and laser alignment as well as thermal growth equipment is preferred.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable, is mandatory for employment.
