Entry Level Background Investigator – Top Secret Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Carry out thorough interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other informed individuals.

• Examine relevant records to gather information and address key issues or to establish the subject’s background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications.

• Record information and submit comprehensive investigation reports within strict deadlines.

• Conduct interviews in person, via phone, and through Virtual Teleconference (VTC).

• Participate in intensive virtual training, in-field shadowing, and mentorship.

• Travel throughout the U.S. for temporary duty assignments, typically lasting two or more weeks.

• Acquire exposure to various field investigation contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of general experience showcasing progressive responsibility in problem-solving, planning, organizing work, and effective communication both orally and in writing.

• Active Top Secret Clearance based on a T5 investigation.

• Current driver’s license required.

• Reliable personal vehicle necessary.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the local area on a daily basis, depending on assignment location.

• Home office must be equipped with high-speed Internet.

• Ability to walk, type, sit, or stand for prolonged periods.

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills are essential.

• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.

• Capability to convey complex or sensitive information effectively.

• Proficient in listening attentively, responding suitably to nonverbal cues, and delivering clear and persuasive oral presentations.

• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with diverse individuals and manage challenging situations with tact and professionalism.

• Proficiency in correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
