This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for the planning, construction, maintenance, expansion, and execution of technical responsibilities in support of Hanford’s Enterprise Architecture initiatives.
• Possess a deep understanding of business issues and goals, including functional, non-functional, performance, reliability, security, and growth requirements of systems.
• Design and evaluate data solutions to ensure they align with business objectives and technical standards.
• Conduct thorough assessments of solution architectures against defined requirements, perform risk evaluations, and create mitigation strategies as necessary.
• Assess and recommend new technologies while evaluating the existing technology landscape to identify limitations and constraints.
• Assist in defining and establishing architectural solutions that adhere to organizational policies, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
• Strategize data movement across systems, ensuring accessibility and compliance with data privacy laws and standards for accessibility.
• Create data solutions that are compatible with various AI engines to facilitate AI-related functionalities.
• Elaborate on the interactions and integrations of solution components with other systems and services to guarantee smooth operation.
• Design solutions incorporating strong security measures and data backup/recovery mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
• Ensure that solutions are maintainable, have high availability, and are straightforward to modify and update.
• Foster clear communication and coordination among stakeholders, developers, and teams to facilitate change.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship for data-related initiatives throughout the organization.
• Implement and uphold data security protocols while ensuring data privacy and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data management and governance.
• Carry out other duties as appropriate and assigned.
• A Bachelor’s Degree coupled with 15 or more years of IT-related experience, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
• Demonstrated work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar capacity.
• Capability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must possess identification compliant with the Real ID Act at the time of hire.
• Required to secure a Department of Energy access badge.
